•Monthly calendar of events including weekly basketball training, trips to professional sporting events, camps/clinics, workshops and motivational speakers such as Los Angeles Sparks head coach/GM Derek Fisher
•Youth participate in regular community service initiatives such as a Christmas toy drive and back-to-school supplies giveaways
•Access to academic enrichment services such as tutoring, individual counseling, personal guidance, and tangible life skills training
•Has established relationships with The Toberman Neighborhood Center to serve as a consistent resource of social justice tools through its gang intervention and prevention program
WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL
•Each student is assigned a professional role model who mentors and supports them in achieving their goals through engagement in sports-related experiences
•Youth are both workers and beneficiaries at community events where they learn valuable lessons in leadership, giving back, and community service
•No cost to program participants; all program mentors are volunteers

•Provide tutoring, training, and mentoring to underserved youth with the goal of instilling discipline, life goals, and the skills and opportunity to be recruited by prep schools and colleges
PROGRAMS WE OFFER
•High level AAU basketball programming for players grades 7-12 which includes fully funding participation in tournaments around the country
•Provide over 850 service hours for community members so that youth can enjoy the atmosphere, create relationships, and improve their basketball skills
•Run seasonal workout program open to all community members
•Work with a local guidance counselor who volunteers counseling services for any youth dealing with mental health or other issues such as loss of a family member, family incarceration, sustained poverty and other situations
•Partner with local camp to allow kids from their program to attend the camp every week during the summer for free
WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL
•Work with a team of young minority coaches who share the vision of helping the younger generation get opportunities through sports; all coaches are USA Basketball certified
•Program comes at no cost to the student-athletes and their families, which includes uniforms, tournament fees, travel expenses, hotels and gym rental fees
•Participants have to show their grades and are not allowed to participate in tournaments if their grades slip
•Coaches work with families to help with the college recruitment process, including sending game film, scheduling school visits, and submitting financial aid applications
•Alumni are receiving over $1M in scholarship for college per year since 2018
•Reinvested over $20K in the Providence Recreation support fund/Providence Public Schools

•Incorporate core values of hard work, respect, discipline, and accountability into everything they do on-and-off the court
•Give youth of color from the inner city the opportunity to attend college for free or as affordable as possible
•Help student athletes succeed and grow by focusing on the entire person including academics, athletics, drug and alcohol free lifestyles, and non-violent conflict resolution
•Provide tutoring, training, and mentoring to underserved youth with the goal of instilling discipline, life goals, and the skills and opportunity to be recruited by prep schools and colleges
PROGRAMS WE OFFER
•High level AAU basketball programming for players grades 7-12 which includes fully funding participation in tournaments around the country
•Provide over 850 service hours for community members so that youth can enjoy the atmosphere, create relationships, and improve their basketball skills
•Run seasonal workout program open to all community members
•Work with a local guidance counselor who volunteers counseling services for any youth dealing with mental health or other issues such as loss of a family member, family incarceration, sustained poverty and other situations
•Partner with local camp to allow kids from their program to attend the camp every week during the summer for free
WHAT MAKES US SPECIAL
•Work with a team of young minority coaches who share the vision of helping the younger generation get opportunities through sports; all coaches are USA Basketball certified
•Program comes at no cost to the student-athletes and their families, which includes uniforms, tournament fees, travel expenses, hotels and gym rental fees
•Participants have to show their grades and are not allowed to participate in tournaments if their grades slip
•Coaches work with families to help with the college recruitment process, including sending game film, scheduling school visits, and submitting financial aid applications
•Alumni are receiving over $1M in scholarship for college per year since 2018
•Reinvested over $20K in the Providence Recreation support fund/Providence Public Schools
